The Bible is filled with encouraging words of inspiration and hope. So with that in mind, here are five encouraging bible verses that will help you to stay focus and strong when life throws you discouragement and frustration. The Bible says that iron sharpens iron. And this text represents God's admonish for us to encourage each other. I have seen over the years that when people are discouraged, they isolate themselves for lengthy periods, but that isn't the best thing to do, and it's a mistake that discouraged people make.
When we isolate ourselves for long periods and ignore Christian fellowship, we are closing doors of opportunities to find encouragement. God knows that life's trials will weaken our resolves, and dim our perspectives, so He instructs us to find encouragement in the company of others. The fact that this verse says to encourage each other means that God knows we need it, and also He has someone strategically placed to encourage us.

There have been times in my life when I abandon Christian fellowship and allowed discouragement to get the better of me, and it proved to my detriment. Isolating ourselves is never a good option, it's the devil's plan to lure us deeper into the abyss of grief and discouragements.
But don't allow him to, instead focus your efforts on regular Christian fellowship, and keep in touch with friends and families. The idea is to begin talking to someone. Sometimes, encouragement comes from people we least expect. When we need an encouraging word, we can find it in God's presence. There were times in my life when my troubles were insurmountable, that I just wanted to be alone. I didn't want to hear anything from anyone, neither was I interested in talking to anyone.
Even though that wasn't ideal, it's a reality, and it happens more often than not. The same is true for some of us, at times you just want to be alone, in a quiet place to cry and pour out your grief and sorrows. And rightly so, because God understands, tears are languages God knows.
This text says that God is our refuge, He's our hiding place. When life's storms cause us to cry - God is our refuge, He's our source of encouragement. We find strength and encouragement in Him. We can pour out our grieve and complaints before our heavenly father, He will listen, and He will extend His helpful hands, and rescue us. There is no condition, whether great or small that God cannot fix, and there is no heart so broken that God cannot restore.
Our lives are in God's hand, and He will help us when we are down and without hope. He will shelter, and encourage us when we are fearful and want to give up. In Your hand is power and might; in Your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all. If failure is the root of your discouragement, then this encouraging verse may help you.
30 Encouraging Bible Verses and Scripture to Lift Your Spirits
The text says that both riches and honor come from the Lord, success is in His hands, He knows how to turn our failures into success. We are not alone, Moses, Elijah, Peter, and many other great men from the Bible at some point in their lives failed, but they rediscovered their faith in God, and He restored them with success. It doesn't matter how many times you fall, but what matters the most is that you rediscover your faith in God, pick yourself up, and live again. Faith in God is paramount to success, it's God's will that we succeed in everything we do.
The Bible says that we are the head and not the tail, above only and not beneath. If we take God at His words, He will change our lives, regardless of our profession or job description, God will promote us with success.

For some, it's a single mother trying to keep the family together under hard circumstances, a father with deteriorating health, trying his very best to make ends meet, or even a college grad struggling to deal with the challenges of the post-college life. Whatever the title or description - trials are meant to discourage us. But this encouraging Bible verse gives us hope, it says that those who wait on the Lord, and resist the temptation to give up will receive strength from the Lord.
The Lord will restore the strength of those who wait patiently for His help. Not only will the Lord restore our strength but He will cause us to succeed in areas that brought us discouragements before. He will give us insight and foresight that others don't know about. When others are struggling to get by, to find solutions to their problems, God says His children won't experience the same. Others will fall by the wayside of defeat and discouragement, but those who wait on the Lord will soar beyond their wildest dreams and expectations.
Psalm "My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips.
Without hope, our dreams and aspirations are fading flowers. Hope is a virtue that adds life to our expectations. This text is referring to David, the King of Israel, encouraging himself to hope in God. What is striking about this text is the fact that David was once King of Isreal, but now found himself in exile from Jerusalem. David's exile experience wasn't a pleasant one, many nights he cried himself to sleep, but he didn't lose hope.
David didn't allow discouragement to get the better of him, he was convinced that God will one day restore him as King of Isreal. When we find ourselves amid life's storms, this text reminds us to hope, to hope in God. David was rightly paying for his wicked deeds, but that didn't deter him from hoping in God.
We may not commit the sins that David committed, but we will encounter the hopelessly that he encountered. How we respond to hopelessness is the difference between fulfillment and defeat. Hopelessness brings discouragement, and discouragement, defeat. But God created us to live in Hope, to expect Him to favor us with His many blessings. So whether we are in the valley of defeat, or on the mountain of success, God expects us to hope in Him.
